Certified Hand Therapy (CHT)

A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an OT or PT with chosen certification in the specialized treatment of upper extremity dysfunctions, otherwise known as hand therapy. To accomplish this certification, a therapist must have three years' experience and acquire at minimum 4,000 hours of upper extremity therapy practice to take the comprehensive certification exam.

At Health Quest Therapy, we believe the hours of treatment experience and dedication to a specialized field of rehabilitative care make a measurable difference in the timeliness of your recovery. At Health Quest Therapy, our upper extremity treatment team is anchored by CHT’s in our Wasilla, Eagle River, and Kihei clinics. All upper extremity treatment, not directly administered by a CHT, is carried out by an experienced OT, immersed in a comprehensive mentorship program, to acquire their certification while providing the best possible upper extremity care to our patients. Health Quest Therapy is Alaska’s best choice for upper extremity care.
